Road to Liberty 1944

Operation Market Garden was the code name for an Allied air-to-ground operation during World War II. It took place between 17 and 27 September 1944 in the Dutch provinces of Noord-Brabant and Gelderland (and to a very small extent in the Lower Rhine region of Germany) with the aim of bypassing the German West Wall and uniting British and American troops to enable a rapid advance into the German Reich.
